Resize a signature scan to the KB range and pixel size your form asks for — 10–20 KB, under 50 KB, or an exact exam preset. Free, and your scan never leaves your device.

    Signature size by exam

Every figure below is taken from the commission's own notification or portal manual, and each row links to a dedicated tool that also handles that body's other rules (filename, ink colour, a minimum size that a small file cannot reach). Where a commission does not state a figure, the table says so rather than guessing.

How the size limits are applied

Portals do not agree on whether a kilobyte is 1,000 or 1,024 bytes. This tool keeps the file below your maximum × 1,000 bytes and above your minimum × 1,024 bytes, so a file it calls “10–20 KB” passes under either rule.

A minimum is harder than a maximum. A signature is mostly white paper, so at a small pixel size it compresses to a few KB however high the quality. If a file comes out under the minimum, the fix is more pixels, not more quality: set a larger width and height if the form allows it, or scan in greyscale rather than pure black and white.

    Thumb impressions

A few commissions ask for a thumb impression as well: OPSC (150 × 200 px, under 150 KB), RPSC (left thumb, 20–50 KB) and IBPS PO (left thumb, 20–50 KB). Use those pages; each follows its notification's rules.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I resize a signature to 10–20 KB?

Add your scan, press the 10–20 KB button, and enter the pixel size if your form states one. The tool crops to that shape and adjusts JPEG quality until the file lands between 10 and 20 KB.

Why is my signature below the minimum size?

A small, high-contrast signature compresses to very few bytes. Use a larger pixel size if the form allows it, or scan in greyscale instead of pure black and white; both add the detail a minimum needs.

Which size does my exam need?

Each commission sets its own. The table on this page lists the figures from each body's official notification, with a link to the dedicated tool.

    Is my signature uploaded?

No. The crop and compression run in your browser on your own device.
