APSC's recruitment portal is built on the same platform as Odisha PSC's, and the photograph size is the same (150 × 200 px). The signature is not: Odisha asks for 200 × 100 px, Assam for 150 × 100 px. If you apply to both, make a separate signature for each — the OPSC signature tool handles Odisha's.
150 pixels wide by 200 pixels high, JPG, up to 200 KB, with a light-coloured background. APSC warns that blurry photos are rejected.
150 pixels wide by 100 pixels high, JPG, up to 200 KB.
APSC does not state one. At 150 x 200 pixels a JPEG is far below the 200 KB ceiling, so the pixel size is what matters.
No. APSC is the Assam Public Service Commission. APPSC is used by Andhra Pradesh and by Arunachal Pradesh, which have their own specifications - see the Andhra Pradesh APPSC photo tool.
No. The crop and compression run in your browser on your own device.
Specifications on this page are taken from the upload step reproduced in Online Application for New applicant (PDF, December 2022), the guide the Assam Public Service Commission links under “Guidelines for Candidates” on its recruitment portal at apscrecruitment.in. The pixel sizes are the ones labelled on the photo and signature boxes of that screen; the 200 KB limits and the light-background note are printed under them.
Checked 29 October 2026: the guide is still the one the portal links, and the portal said no advertisement was open that day. An advertisement can add or change requirements, so check the one you are applying under. This is the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) — not APPSC, which is used by both Andhra Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh. We are not affiliated with APSC.
