    The live photograph

A live photograph is also captured during the application, through a webcam or by scanning a QR code with a phone. The 2027 bulletin asks for a white background with proper lighting and the same 80% face visibility, including ears and without a mask. (The 2026 bulletin said a light-coloured background; 2027 tightened it to white.)

No correction facility. NTA warns that uploading someone else's photograph, signature or certificate is treated as an Unfair Means practice, and that the facility for correction will not be given — so check every file before you submit.

    Other JEE Main uploads

The Class 10 certificate and disability certificate are PDFs of 50–300 KB; use the JEE Main document compressor. NEET UG uses the same photo and signature ranges — see the NEET photo tool.
