How to rotate PDF pages and save them

Scanned pages often come out sideways or upside-down. Rotating in a viewer only changes the view temporarily — to fix it for everyone, you need to rotate and save. CorePDFTools does this in your browser.

    1. Upload your PDF. Drop your PDF into the box above or browse to it.
    2. Choose the rotation. Rotate all pages or selected pages by 90° left, 90° right, or 180°.
    3. Save and download. Download the PDF with the rotation written permanently into the file.

Why rotation must be saved into the file

When you rotate a page in a PDF reader, that's only a view setting — it isn't stored, so the document looks wrong again when someone else opens it. A rotate-and-save tool writes the rotation into the page itself, so the document displays correctly everywhere.

    Common uses

    Fixing sideways scanned pages

Scanners often capture pages in landscape; rotate them upright and save so they read correctly.

    Correcting a single misrotated page

When one page in a document is the wrong way up, rotate just that page.

    Frequently asked questions

Why does my PDF look right for me but wrong when shared?

You probably rotated the view in your reader, not the file. Use this tool to make the rotation permanent.

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes — rotate all pages or select specific pages to rotate.

    Does rotating reduce quality?

No. Rotation is stored as a page property; the content is untouched.

Can I rotate a PDF on my phone?

    Yes, in your mobile browser.
